Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time release date announced

One of the flagship titles for Sony’s new Cross-Buy system, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time finally has a release date fans can look forward to. This much awaited stealth platformer will be launched for the PS3 andPS Vita via retail as well as through PSN in North America on February 5, 2013. Purchasing the former version will grant gamers a free download of the latter version, and vice versa. In Europe, this title will be launched sometime in March.

Pre-order incentives for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time have also been unveiled by Sony. Those who reserve their copies beforehand through select retailers will be able to grab special skins for the game’s characters. These include Sly’s Para Glider Sanzaru monkey logo and camouflage skins as well as Murray’s undercover Ultimate outfit, all three of which can be seen in the image above.

“It’s been a few weeks since we’ve had some news come out about Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time! Hopefully, you’ve already seen the sweet trailer we released at gamescom and are itching to learn even more about Sly, the gang and their upcoming adventure. Well, today we’re happy to announce that Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will be releasing in North America this February 5th, 2013 both at retail and onPlayStation Network (that’s right, day and date!),” Cristian Cardona, Associate Product Marketing Manager, Software Marketing, wrote on the official PlayStation blog.

This is the fourth game in the incredibly popular series created by Sucker Punch Productions. All three previous titles were launched for the PS2. The Sly Collection, a compilation of these games contains their remastered ports along with added features like Trophies, and is available to purchase now for the PS3.

As mentioned above, the Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time release date will fall on February 5 in North America. Gamers in Europe will have to wait till March to get their hands on the title.
