3DS News: Ace Attorney 5 Will Use Voice Overs

Phoenix Wright is making its debut on the Nintendo 3DS and new details have arrived. For the series that gained the majority of its popularity on the DS, upgrades are on the way for Ace Attorney 5. One of the more noteworthy enhancements is the inclusion of voice overs for the series that is known for its heavy storytelling.
Voice acting isn’t something every game should leverage, but it should come as no surprise that the Phoenix Wright series is taking this next step. The franchise already has a live-action film and a collaboration with Professor Layton in a soon-to-be-released crossover game, which also has some voice-over work and a feature film too.
Ace Attorney 5 will have voice acting in both gameplay and anime cut-scene portions of the game. So say ‘good-bye’ to some of the iconic chimes and sound effects of the past, and say hello to the new Phoenix Wright with voices throughout. If you like your games without a whole lot of reading, it’s time to rejoice.
Ace Attorney 5 is set to release sometime next year in Japan.
