Irrational Games, the developers of the original BioShock just dropped another trailer for the highly anticipated follow up,Infinite. The trailer provides glimpses of the mayhem and chaos that will be in the game when it drops next February.
The hype behind this game has been steadily building all year long and every time the studio releases a trailer it manages to capture everyone’s attention.
The trailer shows off the various settings in the game from the industrial sector of Columbia to a lush green vegetated locale up in the clouds. Much like the first game, the studio throws a mysterious character into a foreign and exotic world taking you on a journey first hand through the eyes of an outsider.
Gamers who preorder BioShock: Infinite will receive a free flash-based puzzle game which plays like the mini-games found in the first BioShock game. However, the difference is that this is a separate mini-game outside the retail copy and ties into some sort of overarching meta-game which impacts the two factions.
The game is called, BioShock Infinite: Industrial Revolution where you are a factory worker in the sky-city Columbia tasked with completing complex puzzles. The mini-game will have 50 levels and will be available to players prior to the release of the retail game.
In addition to contributing to one of the factions, you can also earn in-game rewards by completing each of the puzzles. The game will also keep track of all of your rewards which will become available after launch of Infinite.
Head on over to the official BioShock page for more details. The pre-order bonus game is available to those who reserve the game through Amazon, GameStop, Target, Best Buy and Walmart.
BioShock: Infinite is set to launch February 16, 2013.
