Sony Accidentally Lists Street Fighter X Tekken Swap Costumes For Free

While many gamers are disappointed with how the Vita codes worked out, it seems that wasn’t the only error made with Street Fighter X Tekken. Currently the 38 character swap costume bundle is listed for free on the PS3 (Sorry Vita users), which will also unlock the costumes for the Vita version.
Sadly you will still need to buy the additional 12 costumes for the DLC fighters, but it’s better than nothing. Also I would make sure to act fast, as there is no telling how long this will last.

PS3 Essentials announced for European PlayStation Network

PS3 Essentials announced for European PlayStation Network

Sony announced the "PlayStation Essentials" program this morning for Europe, hot on the heels of yesterday's "PSN Day 1 Digital" program. The difference between the two PlayStation Network initiatives is that while Day 1 Digital is all launch titles, Essentials covers the classics – well, some are classics, others are just old and tired.

Highlights of the of program include the first three Assassin's Creed, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Far Cry 2 and Infamous. The prices begin at £9.99/€14.99, which may be a tough sell as a "bargain," since you can pick up many of these games for less by walking (ew, who wants to do that?) to the store. The main point here is that Sony continues drawing attention to its digital distribution of full games.

Check out the full list on the PlayStation EU blog , more games will be added this year to the current offerings.

Realms of Ancient War, a new hack n' slash on PSN this Tuesday

Realms of Ancient War, a new hack n' slash on PSN this Tuesday

The official PlayStation Blog has posted details on a hack n' slash game you'll be able to download come Tuesday, September 25.
Realms of Ancient War will cast you as either a Barbarian, Wizard, or Rogue in a drop-in/drop-out co-op experience that pays homage to games like Gauntlet and Baldur's Gate. Developer Wizarbox has spent over two years working on the title, which draws inspiration from many games to create a "best of" glimpse of a much-loved genre.
Julien Millet, Project Manager at Wizarbox, also described  a few of the game's interesting features. You'll be able to take control of certain enemies mid-combat, or clear large swaths of baddies with powered-up versions of your basic attacks. Fast-paced fighting is the motto of the day, and Realms of Ancient War hopes to deliver it in spades.
You can download Realms of Ancient War when it hits the North American PlayStation Store on Tuesday, September 25. Would you like to see more games of this nature made available on PSN?

BODERLANDS 2 WILL BE AVAILABLE ON PSN STORE ON LAUNCH

Borderlands 2 will be available on PSN Store on launch

The release date of Gearbox’s Borderlands 2 inching closer, and there’s good news for people who like to stay at home and play games. According to Gaming Roots , the PlayStation 3 version of Borderlands 2 will be available for digital purchase on the release date. Usually, it takes some time for games to make it on to the digital store, but this is a big step in the right direction for those who like to purchase their games from the comfort of their homes

Gearbox’s role playing shooter might get a release on the PlayStation Vita. In an interview with IGN, head of Gearbox Randy Pitchford said, “If some other studio was capable and could be trusted by us, and by a publishing partner, and by Sony, and someone wanted to invest in making that happen? I think Sony should step up and make that happen.” Pitchford will be meeting with Sony on the matter soon. This could possibly mean a PlayStation Vita version for Borderlands 2. And if we’re making wishes, we could also wish for cross-platform co-op between the PlayStation Vita and the PlayStation 3.

Earlier this month, Gearbox released a trailer for Borerdlands 2 that introduces you to the changes between the first and second games, along with helpful hints help you in becoming more badass. The trailer is narrated by Sir Hammerlock, who gives an introductory tour of Borderlands 2 as only he can. The trailer shows many details about the game, such as the name of the Big Bad of the game, Handsome Jack. The trailer also points out how much of a badass you are. It shows how you can become more badass by levelling up your character, getting new and interesting weapons out of the 87 bazillion the game has, and how you can attain new levels of badassery by getting things such as relics and class mods, which change how certain skills of your character work.

The game had recently gone gold. The developers of the game are now working on downloadable content (DLC) of which there will be four. The planned DLCs will be decently-sized campaign add-ons with new stories and environments. The developers also mentioned a Season Pass for Borderlands 2 that may be available later and will include all four add-on campaigns. The Season Pass will be priced at 2,400 Microsoft Points for the Xbox 360, and $29.99 on the PC and PlayStation 3. This would mean that buying the Season Pass will net you a 25 percent discount over buying each add-on campaign individually.

Borderlands 2 will be released for the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the PC on September 18, 2012. The DLC add-on campaigns for the game will be available on Xbox LIVE Arcade, Steam and PlayStation Network.
